Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and SAM.Gov registration (ยง25.105 (b)): There is confusion about the types of recipient entities (subrecipient, contractor) who must register in SAM.Gov to obtain a UEI. The long story short is that those who receive a subaward directly from a recipient, or PTE, must obtain a UEI.
