This is similar to retailers thinking once someone has bought from them they’ll automatically do so again. Now you want to ask them to give again this year. What’s wrong with this picture? Too often nonprofits ask once; then assume folks who’ve made the decision to give will continue to do so. Not true in either case. Time marches on.
