SAM Registration ‘SAM’ stands for ‘System for Award Management’ and like a DUNS number, this is another requirement for applying for and receiving federal awards. Updating and managing your SAM registration is free and not all that hard to do. You don’t need this. Don’t pay a middleman. It’s a ripoff.
