Create a Login.gov account Many federal agencies use a login you set up at the login.gov website to allow you to use just one username and password to securely access multiple federal grant portals or websites.

Here are 3 tips to avoid some of those last minute problems : 1) Make sure your organization’s SAM registration is up to date weeks before the deadline. If your SAM registration is out of date when you attempt to submit, your application will not be accepted.

Whatever it means, it means that its simply not possible for a federal grant applicant to “handicap” their chances of being funded no matter what reforms are implemented. Looks like a good problem for DOGE to solve, since I dont think the Grants Transparency Act of 2023 addresses this crazy structure for submitting proposals.
