Members shall obtain explicit consent from the grantor before altering the conditions of grant agreements. I am relatively new to grant writing and GPA has been a great resource. I am taking advantage of the various avenues for development including having a mentor, Grant School, and serving on a committee.

However, designation certifications go further in requiring ongoing continuing education and adherence to a professional code of ethics. This is the boat I am in; I wrote grants for a decade before GPCI first offered certifications in 2008 (GPA of Lower Hudson, n.d.), Who Is Certified? so I never got around to it.
