Solidarity in Serrinha

HSF House

Solidarity in my community shines through during tough times. During COVID-19, we came together to prepare and distribute “cestas básicas” (basic food baskets) to help lower-income families. This ensured everyone had access to essential items despite the pandemic’s challenges. We also face issues like wildfires, and because it’s hard for fire trucks to reach our area, we work together to prevent and control fires.

Dublin Diaries: Day in my Life

HSF House

As we were approaching the midway point of my research abroad, I thought I would do a little day in my life break down! I usually start the day early and prepare myself breakfast in my apartment kitchen and then go to the on-campus gym. Sometimes I do a bit of work on campus before coming home and then make lunch. The rest of the day I spend working on my research in the Computer Science Building.

Solidarity amongst students!

HSF House

I think that because my experience and community are mainly centered around education, solidarity comes out uniquely. I see solidarity in my students in many ways, one of the most common being helping each other learn. It can be tough to keep up and stay on track with the class, so students often help each other in the way they can. I also see a lot of inclusion among my students.

Hello everyone, Onyie here! Today I am going to walk you through a day in my life. As the clinic that I have been working at is located in Daytona Beach, the first step of my routine is relocating myself. Solidarity for Those We Serve

Through my time in working with Second Harvest, i’ve seen the ways the bank shows their solidarity with all those they work to aid. Theres never a distinction made to the identity of those who work for the bank and those they feed in Central Florida. In the photo I have attached is a chalkboard in the break room that breaks down who’s hungry in Central Florida, including: senior citizens, children, parents, families, the homeless, the disabled and someone you might know.

The Dublin Diaries: Solidarity in the Community

HSF House

Hello everyone! As I continue my journey here in Dublin, Ireland, I’ve been reflecting on the concept of solidarity within communities. This week’s blog post for the Global Scholars Program at Florida State University (FSU) focuses on what solidarity looks like in my community and the communal issues where it becomes most evident. In my research at University College Dublin (UCD), where I’m working on building a custom large language model (LLM) for digital forensics, solidarity is a cornerstone
