Then, with the support of the Grants Professional Foundation, I earned my grant professional certified (GPC) credential. And there were so many other opportunities to network including special GPC gatherings, a scholar breakfast, free headshots, and even opportunities to pet puppies during breaks!

I admired and looked up to fellow chapter members who were grant writing veterans, many of whom had their GPC. Little did I know those conversations, and applying for a GPC scholarship, would change the trajectory of my career and my life forever. My fellow chapter members told me about the GPC scholarship and said I should apply.

This year’s conference is in Denver, Colorado (and online), October 30th through November 2nd. Professional Development: The pinnacle of my grants career came in 2017 when I became credentialed as a GPC through the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI). Every year, I discover new ways to volunteer for GPA and GPCI.

Do you have the goal of obtaining your GPC TM soon? The GrantSummit scholarships cover the conference registration only, and the scholarship recipient is responsible for all travel and lodging expenses. In 2023, GPCI presented three CMP awards and 11 GPC TM Exam scholarships to recipients.
