This year’s conference is in Denver, Colorado (and online), October 30th through November 2nd. Professional Development: The pinnacle of my grants career came in 2017 when I became credentialed as a GPC through the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI). Every year, I discover new ways to volunteer for GPA and GPCI.

Planning was overwhelming, but the conference app allowed me to overlap conflicting events, so I could decide later. That evening, GPA hosted a networking event for regional chapters, where I finally met the members of my own Alamo Area GPA Chapter in person.

The GrantSummit scholarships cover the conference registration only, and the scholarship recipient is responsible for all travel and lodging expenses. In 2023, GPCI presented three CMP awards and 11 GPC TM Exam scholarships to recipients. With over 50 sessions, there is a workshop to fit the needs of every attendee.

In early November 2023, I attended GrantSummit (formerly known as the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) Annual Conference) in Kansas City, Missouri.
