Why should you consider mentoring? And in all honesty, you most likely had a grants mentor too, though it may not have been a formal mentor/mentee pairing.
Many cite burnout as the primary reason they are leaving the teaching profession, and in response, schools are trying to pivot and focus on the well-being of their faculty and students. To begin, let’s listen to what teachers say is causing their burnout. Only then can we address the issue.
Small nonprofits are often very informal, with a few people wearing a lot of hats. Providing your nonprofits volunteers with the same recruitment, training, mentoring, and appreciation as your employees can reduce turnover and create a better overall volunteer experience.
