Why then has the industry let “LOI” remain in use? Do you even know what LOI is short for? Confusion exists because LOI has three commonly referenced meanings. Let’s sort this out, LOI can be a Letter of Inquiry, a Letter of Introduction, or a Letter of Intent. Crafting the LOI is a great skill to master.
