Walking became the State Exercise of Maryland on October 1, 2008. There are grants of up to $10,000 to Maryland nonprofits to benefit disadvantaged communities. For grants over $10,000, a Letter of Intent (LOI) will be submitted prior to applying. An LOI must be submitted prior to applying.
